What this covers

NEA worth 20% of A Level — worth doing properly
Analysis, design, coding and evaluation all supported
No code written for you — academic integrity maintained
Last-minute and deadline support available
The problem

Why the NEA feels overwhelming

📂
Too many requirements at once
The NEA has five distinct sections — analysis, design, coding, testing, evaluation — each with specific documentation requirements that students rarely understand.
🔄
No clear structure to follow
Most students have the ability. They lack a clear starting point and a way to organise what they are doing into something that earns marks.
Time pressure and deadline panic
The NEA is long-form work completed over weeks. Without structure, time evaporates and students produce something rushed and undermarked.

What NEA support actually looks like

Session by session, section by section — until each part is clear, structured, and on its way to earning marks.

Analysis section

Define the problem clearly. Identify the end-user. Document requirements in a way that earns marks and connects to your later design decisions.

Design section

Data structures, algorithms, interface designs and test plans — structured correctly and documented in the format the mark scheme rewards.

Development and coding

Reviewing your code, discussing implementation decisions, identifying improvements — without writing your code for you. Academic integrity throughout.

Testing and evaluation

A testing table that demonstrates actual testing. An evaluation that reflects honestly on strengths and limitations. The sections most students underdo.

The transformation

What changes after working with Miss ICT

Before
Overwhelmed by how many sections the NEA has
No clear structure to the documentation
Code written but not properly documented
Evaluation section written in 30 minutes at the end
After
Clear plan for every NEA section with deadlines
Documentation that directly references the mark scheme
Well-structured code with genuine testing evidence
Evaluation that earns marks through honest reflection

What makes NEA support different here

Support that keeps you on the right side of academic integrity while making a real difference.

Mark scheme led

Every session references the AQA or OCR NEA mark scheme directly. You know exactly what earns marks and what does not.

Academic integrity maintained

Code is never written for you. Decisions are discussed, approaches are explained — but your NEA remains your own work.

Flexible and deadline-aware

Sessions can be scheduled around your NEA deadlines. Last-minute support is available and has helped many students rescue their submission.

Computing background matters

Dee has a first-class degree in Digital Media and is completing an MSc in Computer Science and AI. The coding and technical support is genuine.

What you can expect

📋
Clear structure from the first session
You will leave the first session with a clear plan for each NEA section — what goes where, what level of detail is needed, and what to do first.
Last-minute support available
Already close to the deadline? Sessions are available evenings and weekends. Focused rescue support is possible even in the final days.
🔒
Your work stays your work
No code is written for you. Every session is about helping you understand, plan, and structure — not doing it for you.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help with both AQA and OCR A Level Computer Science NEAs?

Yes. The NEA structure differs slightly between boards but the support approach is the same — working through your specific mark scheme section by section.

My child has barely started their NEA and the deadline is close. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. Many students have completed strong NEA submissions with focused support in the final weeks. Get in touch and we can assess what is achievable.

Is one-to-one support suitable or would group sessions work?

NEA support is always one-to-one. Every student's project is unique and requires individual guidance — group sessions are not appropriate for this type of work.
