Our Commitment
Miss ICT is a specialist SEN provider. Accessibility is not an afterthought โ it is central to everything we design. We are committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to as many people as possible, including those with visual impairments, motor difficulties, cognitive differences, and neurodivergence.
Website Accessibility
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Our current measures include:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy throughout all pages
- Alt text on all meaningful images
- Colour contrast ratios meeting or exceeding WCAG AA standards
- Keyboard navigability across all main site interactions
- ARIA labels on interactive elements including buttons, menus, and forms
- Font sizes set in relative units for browser zoom compatibility
- No flashing or strobing content that could trigger photosensitive conditions
- Readable, plain English used throughout โ avoiding jargon where possible
- Mobile-responsive design across all 60+ pages
Known Limitations
We are a small business and do not have dedicated accessibility testing infrastructure. Known areas we are working to improve include:
- Some older resource pages may not yet have full ARIA landmark structure
- Embedded Calendly booking widgets are third-party and subject to Calendly's own accessibility compliance
- Video content (where present) does not yet have closed captions โ this is a planned improvement
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our site, please contact us โ we take all reports seriously and will address issues as quickly as possible.
Accessible Services
All Miss ICT services are designed with accessibility in mind:
- Sessions can be adapted for learners who prefer camera-off or microphone-off participation
- Arcade Live (max 3 learners) is specifically designed to be low-pressure and sensory-friendly for home-educated and SEND learners
- Arcade Home packs use calm visuals, short activity chunks, and clear instructions designed for learners who struggle with traditional curriculum delivery
- 1-to-1 tutoring sessions are flexible in pace, structure, and communication style to suit individual learners
- SEND and EOTAS provision is tailored to each learner's EHCP, sensory needs, and communication preferences
