For All Participants
This code applies to every learner, parent, and carer accessing any Miss ICT service โ including 1-to-1 tutoring, exam intensives, Arcade Live sessions, and the Arcade Circle community.
Before Sessions Begin
- A parent or carer must read and agree to this code before a child accesses any live Miss ICT session
- Session links are shared directly with parents or carers โ do not share the link with anyone else
- Learners should join from a suitable, private space โ not a public area where other people are visible on camera
- Ensure the device and internet connection are working before the session starts
During Live Sessions
All live sessions โ 1-to-1 and group
- Learners must not share their screen beyond the coding or work environment
- Learners must not record any part of a session without prior written consent from Miss ICT and all participants
- Appropriate, respectful language must be used at all times
- Learners must not attempt to contact other learners directly through the session platform
Group sessions โ Arcade Live (max 3 learners) and Intensives (max 4 students)
- Do not share personal information โ full name, home address, school name, or social media handles โ with other learners
- Be kind and supportive to fellow learners; Miss ICT sessions are a no-judgment zone
- If something makes you uncomfortable, tell Dee immediately or ask a parent to email Get in touch after the session
Arcade Circle Community
- Arcade Circle is a moderated online community for Arcade learners and their parents/carers
- All posts are visible to Dee as community moderator
- Direct messages between learners are not permitted
- Only first names and work from coding sessions should be shared in the community โ no personal details, photos of faces, school names, or home addresses
- Content that is unkind, inappropriate, or that could identify another learner will be removed without warning
- Parents are responsible for supervising their child's participation in Arcade Circle
Arcade Home Packs
- Arcade Home materials are licensed for a single user โ the purchasing family โ and must not be shared, reproduced, or distributed to others
- If learners complete optional sharing activities (such as posting a project), only first name and age may be used
Miss ICT's Responsibilities
- Miss ICT will never ask learners for personal information beyond what is needed to deliver the service
- Session links are never shared publicly
- Dee will not contact learners directly โ all communication goes through parents or carers
- Any safeguarding concern is handled in line with the Safeguarding Policy
If Something Goes Wrong
If a learner or parent is concerned about anything that happened during a session or in Arcade Circle:
- Email Get in touch as soon as possible with details
- All concerns are taken seriously and responded to within 1 working day
- If there is an immediate safeguarding concern, contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or emergency services on 999
