The GCSE Exam Rescue Intensive is designed specifically for Year 11 students in the final weeks before the Computer Science papers. It is not a catch-up course โ it is final preparation.
Students who have revised but are not confident about how to structure exam answers, how to tackle trace tables, or how to approach algorithm questions under pressure.
Students who understand Python broadly but are not secure on the specific algorithms โ linear search, binary search, bubble sort โ that the exam reliably tests.
The intensive focuses on the mark types that separate Grade 5 from Grade 7 and above: extended writing technique, efficient pseudocode, and precise use of computing vocabulary.
Maximum 4 students. This is not a revision class โ it is small enough for Dee to address individual gaps while maintaining the group dynamic.
Each evening has a clear focus. Sessions run 6pmโ8pm on consecutive weekday evenings.
School revision sessions cover the whole class at average pace. This intensive is designed for a small group of students who want focused, examiner-level preparation.
Dee marks OCR GCSE Computer Science papers. She knows exactly what the mark scheme rewards, what common mistakes cost marks, and what vocabulary earns full marks on extended questions.
Students answer questions, compare their responses to the mark scheme, and receive direct feedback. This active approach is significantly more effective than note-taking or watching worked examples.
GCSE Exam Rescue Intensive โ ยฃ250 per student, max 4 places. Book through Calendly. Dates run in the spring term close to the exam period.
Spring term, in the weeks before the GCSE Computer Science papers. Specific dates are published on the booking page.
The intensive is designed as a three-evening sequence. Missing one session means missing one third of the programme. Refunds are not available once the block begins.
The intensive works best for students who already have a reasonable grasp of the content and want to refine technique and confidence. It is not a catch-up course for students who have significant content gaps โ 1-to-1 tutoring would be more suitable.
1-to-1 tutoring โ ยฃ60/hr, flexible scheduling.
Command words, long answer structure, and time management.
Past paper question practice with mark scheme analysis.
