What this covers

Full paper-style questions with mark scheme walkthrough
Trace table and algorithm questions fully explained
Command word technique for every question type
Time management and mark maximisation strategies
The problem

Why past papers alone are not enough

😟
Students don't know how to answer
Most students know the content. They fail because they don't know how to translate that into marks.
🕐
Running out of time
Without a strategy for reading and responding to questions, time disappears in the real exam.
No feedback on technique
Doing past papers without mark scheme guidance builds bad habits instead of fixing them.

What mock exam walkthroughs give you

Not just the answer — the thinking behind the answer. The way an examiner reads it.

How to read exam questions

Learn to identify exactly what each question is asking before writing a word. Command words, marks available, and what the question is really testing.

How to structure any answer

From one-mark define questions to eight-mark evaluate questions — a clear structure for every type.

How to maximise marks

Which points earn marks and which do not. How to avoid the most common mark-losing mistakes on every question type.

How to manage your time

A practical time strategy for the full paper so no section is rushed or missed.

What you can expect

📋
Written summary after every session

🧘
No pressure environment
Questions are explored together, not tested. The goal is understanding, not performance.
🎯
Exam-specific focus
Every minute is spent on content and technique that will actually appear in the exam.

Frequently asked questions

Is this suitable close to the exam?

Yes — this is specifically designed for students in the weeks before their exam. The closer to the exam, the more targeted each session becomes.

Can we focus on one particular question type?

Absolutely. If your learner always loses marks on algorithm questions or struggles with longer evaluate answers, we can dedicate the whole session to that.

What if my child has not finished revising the content yet?

Walkthrough sessions assume some content knowledge but can be adapted. We can combine content recap with exam technique in the same session.
