Why safeguarding matters in online provision

Online 1-to-1 teaching with children and young people carries specific safeguarding responsibilities that must be actively managed โ€” not assumed. Miss ICT operates with clear, documented safeguarding practices across all client groups.

For commissioning bodies

Local authorities, virtual schools, and EHCP teams commissioning Miss ICT provision can request the safeguarding policy, DBS reference number, and DSL certification for procurement compliance.

All credentials are maintained, renewed on schedule, and available for inspection by commissioning bodies.

Communication boundaries

All communication with learners happens through agreed channels. Communication with parents and commissioning bodies is direct and documented.

Concerns procedure

Any safeguarding concern is recorded immediately using Miss ICT's safeguarding recording format, reported to the appropriate designated authority, and followed up within the required timeframe.
